Asia One

The film presents a fictionalized version of a large automated logistics base “Asia One” in the year 2021, where only one young female worker, one male worker and an adorable AI robot (the female worker’s daily companion) were employed. Out of the dull and lonely repetitiveness of factory life, the young workers drew close and developed affection towards one another. Yet, under the monotony of work life day after day, they appear to be caught in an emotional tangle of “no one” (intelligent manufacturing ), “human,” and “non-human” (robots) agents, reflecting the encounters and situations human beings experience during processes of urbanization.
