Deji Art Museum officially opens to the public with a brand-new identity. Located in the city of Nanjing, one of China’s ancient capitals, the Deji Art Museum is committed to becoming an integrated art institution and cultural platform that transcends state borders, cultures, histories, and media.

Based on a globalized vision and a localized cultural expression in the contemporary context, the Deji Art Museum showcases the public its openness and innovation by presenting comprehensive and diverse research and exhibition programs that range from classical Chinese art to modern and contemporary art from the East and the West, as well as a thematic exhibition that is based on the 2,500-year history of the city of “Jinling”- the historical name of Nanjing.

The exhibition space of Deji Art Museum is nearly 10,000 sqm. “An Era in Jinling”- the digital art exhibition vividly showcases to the audiences the opulent historical lineage and depth of Chinese culture by bridging the cultural relic and digital technology. The Special Exhibition Gallery displays various genres of artworks across different eras and regions, a place that fosters cross-culture communication between China and the world; it opens up a window for multiculturalism in the globalized art community.
