This series continues Tim Crowley’s concept of the exhibition poster as a form of propaganda in contemporary art. Having experienced nearly every identity and major city in the art world, he looks outward from an insider’s perspective, predicting distant, future exhibitions in an absurd, comic light. Fabricating a mix of seemingly random and unrelated artists, images, and weird exhibition titles in a strange time and playful form, Crowley displays a critical, ironic, exaggerated, contradictory, and entertaining mindset that allows the paintings to be presented to the world in the guise of exhibition posters.
