Description

As suggested by the title, this video piece resembles a stream of consciousness, or a series of dreams. The film begins with a scene where a young girl goes to bed. As soon as she falls asleep, an array of characters familiar to the audience (e.g., Wolf in Little Red Riding Hood, My Little Pony, SpongeBob SquarePants) appear in various contorted forms. The girl and these characters seem innocent, as they have tea parties and behave like children. However, they also insinuate violent, sexual, and perverse tendencies. Here, the artist duo explores the boundaries between fantasy, sexuality, and deviance. The music composed by Hans Berg sets the entire work to a rapid rhythm, making the characters appear even more active.
