Description

In four synchronized screens, four philosophers and writers invited to perform and speak take on beasts from the Shan Hai Jing (The Classics of Mountain and Seas) as their respective on-screen avatars, and their demeanors of speech are captured and transformed into innocent yet crude cartoon images. This approach is comical, and it is easy to observe a funny phenomenon quite familiar to conference attendees: As one person speaks, the other three would often look impatient or even have their eyes closed. Meanwhile, their expressions are inevitably distorted due to the technical limitations of motion capture and digitally generated animation.
