Description

Elegantly potted with a flared mouth and a plump rim with a ring of ridge, the vase rises from a round foot ring and a globular body to a sloping shoulder and a slightly broadened neck; it is covered overall in celadon glaze, leaving its refined greyish white biscuit exposed at the bottom. The glaze presents a lovely light blue colour with a hint of pink and runs thicker below the belly and at the lower part of the foot ring to enhance its smooth curve; delicate crackles appear in faint orange colour, looming up and crawling over the vase.

The porcelain ware produced in Kiln ZHANG GONG XIANG includes bowls, dishes, vases, water vessels, stationary accessories, basins, pots, boxes, lamp holders, incense burners, etc. such Yuhuchun vase is rarely seen.
