Description

With a straight flat mouth and plump rim, a long neck running down to sloping shoulder and compressed bulging belly, the vase is supported on a flared foot ring with a pair of rectangular piercings on two sides; its unadorned appearance perfectly emphasizes the elegant silhouette: the sturdy neck visually compresses its flat belly to hold the weight in the centre and form a steady and well-balanced structure. It is covered overall in celadon glaze with soft and oily gloss like jade ware. The foot ring is thin yet solid as iron.

It is a vase for flower arrangement. The two holes on the feet are used for threading and fixing.
