Description

Elegantly potted with a delicate opening, plump and flared rim, and a short tightened neck, the vase rises from a slightly splayed foot and a slender body, smoothly curves to a well-defined sloping shoulder. It is fully applied with celadon glaze except for the foot bottom. The glaze presents a celestial azure blue with a subtle hint of green, and is overall covered in crackles of varied sizes.

The site of Kiln ZHANG GONG XIANG is close to the site of Kiln RU, therefore, they shared similar processing technique as well as decorative style, except for the biscuits and glaze colours; and this vase is a very typical example.
