Introduction
The children, guided by the teacher and ‘Detective D’, explored the mysterious ’50 Beautiful – Imperial Song’ exhibition featuring treasures from the five famous kilns, witnessing a thousand years of Song porcelain, gathered in Nanjing, with the stunning appearance of the Ru kiln, which has fewer than a hundred intact pieces in history. In the exhibition hall, the children will search for hidden clues and work together to solve puzzles, experiencing the charm of exquisite Song porcelain through a fun exploration.
Following the guide teacher, they will pass through Daniel’s ‘Copper Sculpture Forest’ in the public area and Nara Yoshitomo’s ‘Mini Art Museum’ to enter the Deji Art Space. This space features a dual exhibition titled ‘Theater’ and ‘Storage Room’, showcasing works by artists Ian Brown and Juergen Paas.
The children will first enter the ‘Theater’, experiencing the deconstruction and reassembly of painting and sculpture in Brown’s works. Then, by opening the ‘Storage Room’, they will freely wander through Paas’s ‘Pop Planet’.
After appreciating the elegant charm of Eastern traditional aesthetics and the bold innovation of Western abstract elements, the children will utilize various mixed materials to create their own ‘artworks’ through imaginative methods such as piecing together, wrapping, and cutting.
The Deji Art Museum has launched the ‘Finger-tip Aesthetics’ series of handcraft courses, the ‘Detective D’ series of interactive art exploration courses, and the ‘Public Aesthetics Program’ celebrity series of art experience activities. There are even more exciting courses in full swing, and a revamped ‘Public Aesthetics Program’ awaits your participation!
