Children’s Art Workshops within The Exhibition of “The Art of Movement. Van Cleef & Arpels, living instants, eternal forms”

During the exhibition of “The Art of Movement. Van Cleef & Arpels, living instants, eternal forms,” the Deji Art Museum in collaboration with Van Cleef & Arpels, proudly presents two exquisitely designed children’s art workshops: “Rhythm of Colored Lines” and ” Elegance of the Theater.”

Through the exhibition, children will not only appreciate the exceptional creativity and masterful craftsmanship of Van Cleef & Arpels as a renowned jewelry maison, but they will also have the opportunity to transform their artistic inspiration into unique creations through hands-on practice. This immersive experience aims to subtly nurture their aesthetic perception and form a unique dialogue with the world of art.

The “Rhythm of Colored Lines” workshop takes inspiration from the iconic “Silhouette Flower” brooch in the “Abstract Movement” section of the exhibition. It guides children in exploring how Van Cleef & Arpels drew inspiration from the transition between geometric and fluid lines to create abstract yet charming jewelry pieces. Children will experience the seamless integration of ribbons and floral motifs in the designs, where lines bloom as if growing naturally, conveying the vitality of “a single thread giving life to a flower.”

The “Elegance of the Theater” workshop draws inspiration from the “Human Odyssey” section of the exhibition, paying tribute to Van Cleef & Arpels’ gracefully posed ballerina brooches. We invite children to engage their artistic ingenuity, drawing inspiration from the elegant postures of ballet dancers and their exquisite costumes. These perceptible creative elements will serve as a source of inspiration, leading participants on a magical journey where observation and creation intertwine, allowing them to feel Van Cleef & Arpels’ passion for the art of dance.
