Introduction
Su Tianci’s artistic creations have always centred closely on the poetic depiction of nature. In his later years, he resided in Tangshan and Nanjing, where he was immersed in the natural beauty of the Jiangnan region. Flower in Vase was created during the second golden period of Su Tianci’s artistic career. With soft and delicate brushstrokes, he captures the graceful, trembling forms of flowers and leaves.
