A White-glazed DING Ribbed Cylindrical Tripod Incense Burner

Introduction
Potted in a round body with a flat rim, a cylindrical wall, and a flat bottom, the incense burner is supported on three curved legs; with closer inspection, it bulges slightly in the neck and tapers a bit at the bottom. The exterior is decorated with six embossed rings: two in the neck, three in the belly, and one closer to the bottom. Three legs are sculpted after animal’s leg, with sturdy and vivid depictions. It is applied with white glaze, with partial areas presenting in light yellow, leaving its chamber and foot bottom exposed.
The tripod Zun, originated from the wine vessel in the Han Dynasty, mostly comes with a lid sculpted in a mountain or ring-handle, with its exterior decorated with patterns, mostly made of bronze, porcelain, lacquered wood. Then it is developed into a more concise appearance with solely a body and decorative rings,used as incense burner.
