Over nearly three decades of thoughtful, methodical acquisitions, Deji Art Museum has developed two major collection systems: Ancient Chinese Art and Chinese & international Modern and Contemporary Art. The Ancient Chinese Art Collection spans from the Neolithic period through the Ming and Qing dynasties, encompassing ceramics, painting and calligraphy, Buddhist sculpture, furniture, and more, offering a vivid portrait of China’s artistic achievements, intellectual traditions, and creative vitality across different historical periods. The Chinese and International Modern and Contemporary Art Collection—most prominently represented by the World of Flowers series and also engaging with pioneering works in digital art—explores the vitality and creative exchange of art across different eras and cultural contexts.
