Introduction
This year’s International Museum Day theme, “The Future of Museums in a Rapidly Changing Society,” invites us to reflect deeply. In an era reshaped by technological waves, we believe museums will find their future shining in children’s creativity—unleashing new vitality. Letting children “grow up in museums” is the most natural and profound way to nurture imagination.
For International Museum Day, Deji Art Museum presents ”What Art Says: Growing Up in the Museum,” transforming exhibition visits into transcendent dialogues across time and space with artworks. We channel this artistic inspiration into real-world energy to create everyday beauty. At the event, students from Yixian Primary School used AI technology to translate their impressions of Nanjing into a whimsical poetic recitation, “The Rhythm of Jinling,” followed by a sand-art performance merging technology and art—kicking off the celebration with wonder. As part of the 2025 Nanjing Arts Festival, this program is guided by Nanjing Culture and Tourism Bureau, Nanjing Literary Federation, hosted by Xuanwu District Culture and Tourism Bureau, Xuanwu District Education Bureau, Xinjiekou Subdistrict and organized by Deji Art Museum.
